A Year in Our Little College Town
Songs in the Key of Davis is a musical set in present-day Davis that showcases themes of human aspiration and connection through the lens of this town and its people.
The songs are written by long-time Davis resident Brendan Del Favero and other contributors. The title is inspired by the In the Key of Davis program that places and maintains pianos outdoors at numerous locations around town such as the Hunt-Boyer mansion and the library.

Hi, I'm Brendan Del Favero! I've been a Davis resident for 25 years and a songwriter for 30 years. I worked as a church organist and choir director for 15 years, but my primary career has been in software engineering.
I have written songs for the local youth a cappella group Davis Local Vocals, who have performed them at local venues including the Davis holiday Winter Wonderland / tree lighting ceremony and the Davis Veterans’ Day ceremony.
I have performed personally at local venues including Watermelon Music (multiple dates, July 2024 - present,) Poetry in Davis (multiple dates, May 2024 - present) and the Winters Opera House (2026.)
